What is the Shadow anti-theft system?

The Shadow device is designed to protect the car from theft.

The operation of the device is based on the interaction between the Vehicle and the device through the car's digital data bus. The anti-theft device reads various parameters of the vehicle and prohibits.

The operation of the actuators if an unauthorized movement of the car is attempted.

Disarming is done by entering the PIN code from the car buttons or by placing a Bluetooth tag nearby.

How to switch on service mode in the Shadow device?

Turn on the ignition, enter the PIN code, and no later than 20 seconds, press the service button 5 times, after which the system will go into service mode, which will be confirmed by a five-time indication.

To exit service mode, enter the current PIN code with the ignition on.

How to change the PIN code in the Shadow device?

1. Turn on the ignition and enter the current PIN code for authorization;
2. Within 20 seconds after authorization, press the service button 7 times to enter the PIN code change mode;
3. Enter the new PIN code using the car buttons available for recording the code (specified by the installation specialist in the note on page 13). Each press will confirm with a single indication;
4. After entering the new PIN code, the indication will work 3 times and you need to repeat the new PIN code for confirmation. If they match, the new PIN code will be written to memory, and the indication will work 2 times.

If the indication works 4 times, the PIN code will remain the same, since the confirmation code did not match. A repeated attempt to record will be available in 5 seconds, which will be confirmed by the indication turning on once every 3 seconds.

Buttons for recording PIN code

There are several ways to find out which buttons can be used to record a PIN code:
1. The buttons are listed in the operating instructions. This information is entered by the device installer.
2. In the PIN code change mode, each time a button is pressed, the press will be confirmed. That is, if the device sees the button, the indication will confirm each press.

Change PIN if you forgot it

1. Turn on the ignition and press the service button 7 times.
2. Enter the first digit of the secret code. Confirmation will be a single beep.
3. Enter the remaining digits in the same manner.
- if the code is correct, the system will disarm and enter new PIN code entry mode.
- This is confirmed by a single beep every 3 seconds.
4. Now you can set a new PIN code: - Enter the new PIN code twice, with a triple indication between entries.
- After the second entry, double indication confirms the new PIN code is saved.
5. If you turn off the ignition without saving the new PIN code, the device will enter the service mode and will not activate the block.

Checking blocking function

To check the basic blocking function, follow these steps:
1. If you have a tag in the kit, remove the battery from it or move it more than 20 meters away from the car.
2. Turn off the ignition and open the door for more than 3 seconds so that the system switches to security.
3. Try to drive the car. Depending on the implemented protection method, one or another blocking will be performed (prohibition of engine starting or stopping of the running engine, or blocking of the gear shifter).
